Home in Smalland

Recently, my husband's Aunt (his mom's sister), Ingalill passed away.  We were very sad about the news.  Here are Aunt Ingalill, Ylva (my mother-in-law) and Nils (my father-in-law) at her back yard.

Jorgen, Heather, and I were very fortunate to spend some time with this sweet lady while we visited Sweden last summer. Ingalill had a cheerful disposition and seemed to have a positive outlook about life. Although she spoke very little English, she communicated a lot through her eyes and smile.

Heather will always treasure the very nice memories of spending time with her Grand Aunt Ingalill at her home, a short walking distance from the current home of my in-laws (Heather's Grandma Ylva and Grandpa Nils).  This is the home where Grandma Ylva and her siblings spent much of their childhood.

What nice weather in June!  Ylva, Ingalill, and Heather having coffee, milk, and cookies at a summer home near my in-laws' house.

Here are the "Ladies in Red", with their gorgeous smiles.  Heather and her Grand-aunt Ingalill, ready to pick cherries from her huge cherry tree at her front yard.

Jorgen, busy picking cherries.  It is not as easy as it looks!

My mother-in-law, her brother-in-law (Rosa's husband) and  Aunt Ingalill immersed in good conversation.

Heather will continue to cherish her sweet memories in Sweden.  During our brief stay in Allgunnen, she always looked forward to visit Aunt Ingalill with her Grandma Ylva and Grandpa Nils.  She will remember her kindness, her lovely home, the cherry picking, large grassy area to run around in, and the ponies.
